Fallacy

“Fallacy” is a noun that refers to a mistaken belief or a deceptive argument that appears to be logically sound but is actually flawed or misleading. Fallacies can arise from errors in reasoning, misleading language, or intentional manipulation of information to persuade others to accept an invalid or unsound conclusion.

In Indonesian, the equivalent term for “fallacy” is “kesalahan berpikir” or “kesalahan logika.”
