We watched the third debate yesterday. This debate got heated, it was no longer just a clash of ideas and thoughts, but it escalated into an exchange of emotions and sharp verbal attacks.
The third debate was actually very advantageous for Prabowo due to his experience as the Minister of Defense. However, unfortunately, Prabowo couldn’t manage his emotions well. He tended to want to explode but held himself back, fearing a major blunder that would be irreparable.
Prabowo was constantly attacked by Anies from the beginning, and Prabowo seemed to frequently restrain his emotions to avoid harming himself.
The debate got so heated that after the event, Prabowo and Anies did not shake hands. This became a topic of public discussion.
Prabowo responded to questions from journalists regarding this.
“Oh, he didn’t come to me. I am older than him, I am more senior than him,” Prabowo said.
Prabowo was seen immediately turning away after the third debate. He only shook hands with Ganjar. After that, he did not approach Anies and immediately turned away from the stage.
When asked after the debate, Anies admitted that he wanted to shake hands. He looked for Prabowo but didn’t know where he had gone.
“After it ended, I looked for him but he was no longer there, so I didn’t know where to go to shake hands,” Anies said.
From this, Prabowo suffered a great loss. Why? Here’s the logic. Since the beginning of the debate, Anies had been trying to find an opening to attack Prabowo. Prabowo was seen several times restraining his emotions and even striking a defiant pose when interrupting the discussion during the debate.
The negative sentiment towards Prabowo was significant during the debate. So the public believed that Prabowo was angry and emotional. Therefore, when there was no handshake with Anies, Prabowo was blamed. Prabowo made an even bigger blunder when he claimed to be more senior, implying that he should have been the one to initiate the handshake with Anies.
Actually, Prabowo could have turned the situation around by shaking hands or taking the initiative to shake hands, which would have garnered sympathy. But because of his emotions, he couldn’t control himself, felt superior, and prioritized his ego, resulting in a severe blunder.
From this, we can see who Prabowo really is and what his true nature is like. This is the truth. All this time, he wore a mask of friendliness only for the purpose of political strategy to gain support from the younger generation. It was all fake. Just a little provocation and he immediately became emotional and behaved like a child.
And don’t forget, Prabowo’s supporters will start vigorously praising and defending him, even if it looks ridiculous. Prabowo is easily provoked and is not fit to be a leader.
